Introducing Mercury v5
Mercury version 5 (v5) is an exciting new release that is already getting rave reviews from our beta testing clients. Mercury v5 represents an effort to bring you some significant new features, enhancements of existing features, and operational improvements.
Some of the new features we have added include the ability to import information from accounts that are held external to Mercury. For example, you can pull in and view credit card information from your credit card processor.
Mercury Data Solutions is another new feature that puts your Mercury data into an easy to use, very readable format that you can access to write reports or do analysis. You will be able to use Access¨, Excel¨, and other tools to look at Mercury data however you want.
With Mercury Scheduler you will also able to schedule many of the regular Mercury tasks to run on their own at whatever scheduled time you have set. This will help to further automate some of your tasks.
We have made big enhancements to our lending systems. You will be able to manage more sophisticated loans. We have also teamed up with Digital Dialogue to pull credit bureau information directly into your loan applications.
We have also added an average daily balance calculation on the share account screens and given you the ability to enter a date to begin the member history view.
These are only a couple of the many new features included in Mercury v5. You will hear more about these and others as we approach general release of Mercury v5.

Serviced Suffixes
Mercury 5 has the ability to view external credit card account information, so you can:
- Give your member information on their credit card account without having to connect to your provider
- Take payments over the counter and post them in Transaction Entry
- Export a transaction file to your provider
- View history on transactions completed at the credit union
Electronic Funds Transfer - Loan Draft Transaction
If you offer LOC and HELOC loans, Mercury now supports Loan Drafts. Loan Drafts work like a regular checking account, but posts advances directly from a LOC loan, similar to an overdraft loan.
- Customizable parameters can be set per LOC and HELOC loan
- Minimum draft amounts, repayment terms, number of advances allowed and more

Mercury Data Solutions
Mercury Data Solutions (MDS) is a reporting and analysis tool thant enables you to:
- Analyze your data and so you can act upon that analysis
- Provide data to outside vendors
- Export your data from Mercury into a data format that is easy to use and access
- Use your favorite tools (Microsoft¨ SQL, Access, Execel; Crystal Reports; any application that is ODBC compliant) to generate reports and analyze data
Scheduler
The Mercury Scheduler is a job and task scheduling service that allows you to define and schedule jobs to run:
- At specified calendar dates and times on a regular basis
- At a specific calendar date and time on a one-time basis
- At selected intervals
Always On
Mercury 5 is designed to be up and running all the time.
- It is not necessary to ever shut down IVR, Online Banking, or Online ATMs during Day End or Month End.
- Month End and Day End can be run while members are posting transactions.
